Adhunik Cement Ltd, a joint-venture company between Adhunik and MSP group is planning to set up a new greenfield cement plant in Sonapur in Kamrup district of Assam. The company is signed a MoU with the state government for allotment of land. The new facility will have a manufacturing capacity of 1.6 million tpa and will entail an investment of Rs.2500 million. it has also lined up proposal for adding 10 million tonnes capacity over a period of 5 years but depends much on clearances from state and central agencies.
