K D Cements to set up cement grinding unit at Bhamoraguri

K D Cements is planning to set up a Cement Grinding Unit (1,65,000 TPA) at Bhamoraguri in Goan Panchayat-Kuhumtalli in Sub-division Samaguri in Nagaon of Assam. Clinker, Gypsum and Fly ash / BF Slag will be used as raw materials. Cement manufacturing will involve crushing of the clinker alongwith fly ash/blast furnace slag and gypsum in the cement mill to a fine powder. The project is estimated to cost Rs.164.5 million. As of June 2009, the project has obtained statutory clearances.
