Assam new ethanol policy rolled out in 2021 has attracted investments in over 16 new projects. All these projects are likely to be completed by the year 2023.
The total investment is in the range of ₹ 3300 crore. The new policy has provided land and a 24×7 support centre. The total capacity of ethanol produced by seven entities is 970 klpd.
These plants will come up in Industrial Development Corporation /Industrial Parks across various parts of the State including two units in IGC Matia, one unit each at Industrial Landbank in Sipajhar, ID Dhing, IGC Balipara and near Assam Plastic Park, Tinsukia.
