Cement Manufacturing Co to set up cement grinding unit at Chamtha Pathar in Kamrup district in Assam. The project involves setting up of cement grinding unit with a capacity of 1.60 MTPA along with coal and biomass based captive power plant of 10 MW capacity. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 2510 million. Vertical Roller Mill (VRM) for Cement grinding (1×260 TPH), Cement packing machines (2×180 TPH) and AFBC boiler (50 TPH) will be installed. Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC, 0.107 MTPA), Pozzolano Portland Cement (PPC, 0.878 MTPA) and Portland Slag Cement (PSC, 0.615 MTPA) will be manufactured. The raw materials required will be Clinker from CMCL, Lumshong; Fly ash from Farakka TPP, Khelgaon, Bagaigaon; Gypsum from Sandruponhongkar, Bhutan and Slag from Janshedpur, Bokaro. Coal (85-90%) and Biomass (10-15%) will be used for the operation of power plant.
