K R Associates is planning to set up a cement grinding unit in Ambher in Jorabhat in Mouza Sonapur in Kamrup district of Assam. The project involves setting up of 1000 tpd cement grinding unit with an investment of Rs. 385 million. The main raw material for manufacture is Clinker, Fly Ash and Gypsum. Clinker will be procured from the various Cement Plants situated in the Assam, Meghalaya and Bhutan. Gypsum will be procured from Bhutan which shall be transported through trucks or by rail.
