Barak Cement to set up a unit at Badarpurghat

Barak Valley Cement is planning to take up an expansion programme. The project involves setting up a new 300 tpd cement grinding unit adjacent to its existing cement plant at Badarpurghat in South Assam. On completion, the company’s total production capacity will be increased to 600 tpd. The project is estimated to cost Rs.400-500 million. Apart from this, the company is setting up a 800 TPD Crusher unit at Jaintia Hills, Lumshnong, Meghalaya through its subsidiary, Meghalaya Minerals & Mines.
